Who says the vase can only be placed on a flat surface? Oslo artist Falke Svatun Lirhus broke people's traditional ideas and designed the vase into a shape that can be placed in three dimensions. The bottom is specially designed to be recessed, so that the vase can be snapped at the edge of the corner of the table, shelf, window sill.

Falke Svatun Lirhus (b. 1987) is a Norwegian designer based in Oslo. He studied industrial design at the University of Technology, Sydney. Falke’s main focus has been within creating furniture, lighting and accessories with a minimalistic approach, often with historic references. His work has been exhibited in Oslo, Stockholm, Milan, Paris and Copenhagen.

The cutout at the base allows it to sit on the edge of a shelf or sill, while still permitting the vase to balance on flat surfaces.
